The campaign momentum of frontline All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant in Osun State, Kunle Rasheed Adegoke (K-Rad), received a major boost on Saturday as he formally endorsed the K-RAD Vanguard, an independent support group committed to advancing his political vision.
Speaking at his campaign office during an interactive session with members of the group on Saturday, Adegoke described the gathering as a landmark moment in the build-up to the 2026 governorship race.
He commended the Vanguard for its resilience, tenacity, and commitment to progressive ideals, urging members to remain steadfast in promoting the party’s agenda of good governance.
“What you’ve recorded so far is the product of commitment and determination to ensure Osun is liberated from the shackles of misgovernance. Come 2026, we will emerge as leaders of this great state,” K-Rad declared.
He further charged the group to continue working with dedication, saying that the APC remains the true custodian of the Southwest’s progressive legacy.
“We inherited the legacy of good governance from leaders like Chief Obafemi Awolowo and his contemporaries. What we are doing here today is laying the foundation for a greater Osun, and our efforts will not be in vain,” he assured.
Acknowledging the role of the media in nation-building, Adegoke also urged journalists to maintain fairness, objectivity, and responsibility in their reportage, while appreciating their contributions to the democratic process.
“The press has always been a very strong estate, contributing to the development of a nation, and that’s why we can’t toy with the role you’ve played so far. We really appreciate you,” he said.
The aspirant praised members of the Vanguard for offering strategic directions for the campaign, stressing that the future of Osun rests on the shoulders of citizens willing to make meaningful contributions.
The meeting ended with resounding applause, as K-Rad reaffirmed his vision to reposition Osun within the progressive circle.
The K-RAD Vanguard is led by eminent Osun indigenes, including Rasheed Rasheed, who share in the mission and aspiration of Adegoke to steer the state toward a brighter future.
