A prominent Kwara-based broadcaster and Head of Station at Tiwa n Tiwa TNT 102.5 FM, Ijagbo, in Oyun Local Government Area of Kwara State, Yemi Zubair, is dead.
He passed away on Saturday evening at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, Ilorin.
In a statement released by the management and staff of Tiwa n Tiwa 102.5 FM, the late ace broadcast journalist was described as a dedicated professional whose leadership and commitment significantly contributed to the growth and success of the station.
The statement noted that Zubair was more than just a leader, describing him as “a mentor, guide, and pillar whose impact will not be forgotten.”
According to the announcement, his Janazah (Islamic funeral prayer) is scheduled to hold on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Ansar-ud-deen Society Central Mosque, Ilorin.
The management and staff prayed for Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings, grant him Aljanah Firdaus, and give his family, friends, and colleagues the strength to bear the loss.
Zubair was also a retired Director of Programmes at Radio Kwara, Ilorin.
