The Kwara State Governor and Chairman of the Convention Legacy and Rapporteur Committee for the 2026 National Convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has reaffirmed the party’s commitment to its founding principles following the successful conclusion of its 4th Elective National Convention in Abuja.
The governor said he joined President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, along with party leaders and stakeholders from across the country, at the convention where members reviewed the party’s progress and outlined its future direction.
AbdulRazaq described the APC as a strong and resilient political platform, attributing its continued relevance to what he called the inclusive and purposeful leadership of President Tinubu. He noted that the convention demonstrated the party’s unity and readiness to move forward with renewed commitment.
The governor also congratulated the newly elected National Chairman of the party and other members of the National Working Committee (NWC), urging them to live up to the trust placed in them and work towards strengthening the party ahead of future political engagements.
He further commended delegates and stakeholders from Kwara State for their discipline and strong representation at the convention, adding that their conduct contributed to the smooth and successful outcome of the exercise.
AbdulRazaq also wished party members a safe return to their respective destinations and reiterated the importance of unity, cooperation, and sustained collaboration within the party.
