On the occasion of this year's Easter celebration, the Kwara State Commissioner of Police, CP Victor Olaiya felicitates the Christian faithful, assuring of the citizens and all visiting the state of adequate security of lives and property.
CP Olaiya’s felicitation message was made available to newsmen in Ilorin over the weekend in a statement signed by the Command's Spokesperson, DSP Ejire-Adeyemi Toun.
The CP acknowledged the significance of Easter as a time to reflect on the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ as renewal of hope for all and sundry.
He admonished christians to embody the spirit of Easter by spreading kindness, compassion, and goodwill throughout the community.
According to the statement, as an assurance of the CP’s unwavering commitment to ensuring safety and security, adequate security, police personnel have been deployed to mount surveillance and patrol duties within the state.
He also emphasized the importance of collaboration between the community and law enforcement in maintaining a peaceful environment for all.”
The CP urged citizens to celebrate responsibly, adhere to safety guidelines, and remain vigilant against any potential security threats.
