The Senator representing Kwara Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Saliu Mustapha, has felicitated the new Secretary to the Kwara State Government, Prince Mahe Abdulkadir, calling him a round peg in a round hole as a retired bureaucrat.
He also applauded the inauguration of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq's seventeen Commissioners, adding that a number of them were reappointed due to their track records of performance in offices they previously held.
In a statement issued from his media office in Ilorin, Mustapha, who is the Chairman Senate Committee on Agricultural Provisions and Rural Development, described the appointment of Prince AbdulKadir, a retired Permanent Secretary and a technocrat, as the best for the government of Governor AbdulRazaq to drive the policies and programmes of the state government effectively and efficiently.
Mustapha, who is also the Turaki of Ilorin, therefore charged the appointees to put in their best and inject fresh ideas in the running of their various offices to meet the yearnings of the people of the state.
"I congratulate our dear Prince Mahe AbdulKadir on his appointment and swearing in as the SSG of our dear state. As a technocrat and a distinguished elder, I believe you will use your vast experience to drive the system in the state and enable our Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, to achieve his goals for the people of our beloved state. Please, accept my felicitation.
"Similarly, I want to join our party members and people of Kwara State to rejoice with the newly inaugurated commissioners. Knowing fully well that majority of you are young and vibrant, I want to implore you to justify the confidence reposed in you by Governor AbdulRazaq by bringing innovative ideas to bear in order to move your various offices forward", he said.
