Kwara Governor mourns, charges security agencies to get to root of incident
Kwara State was thrown into mourning on Saturday as the lifeless body of 27-year-old Yusuf Mubaarak, a promising new media personality, was discovered under mysterious circumstances.
The shocking incident has prompted Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to, through a statement by his chief media officer, Mal. Rafiu Ajakaye, demand a thorough investigation by security agencies.
FACTUAL NAIJA NEWS gathered that Mubaarak, a native of Ilorin, had gone missing on Wednesday night, leaving his family and friends deeply concerned and thus promoted them to broadcast news of his missing on various social media platforms.
However, his lifeless body was eventually located around the Unity area of the state capital, as he was laid to rest on Saturday evening in Ilorin amidst tears from his friends, associates, and acquaintances.
Governor AbdulRazaq expressed his heartfelt condolences to Mubaarak’s grieving family, friends, and the youth constituencies in the state.
In a press statement released by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Rafiu Ajakaye, the Governor, who described as shocking and saddening the death of the 27-year-old Mubarak, strongly condemned the violence that led to the young man’s death.
He called for an immediate and comprehensive investigation to identify and bring the perpetrators of this cowardly act to justice.
In a statement from the Government House, the Governor emphasized, “No resources should be spared to get justice for Mubaarak and his family. We charge the security agencies to cast their nets as widely as possible to answer all pending questions around his painful death.”
As the community mourns the loss of this promising young individual, Governor AbdulRazaq offered prayers for Mubaarak, wishing him eternal peace in Al-Jannah Firdaus and offering comfort to his bereaved family and all who are saddened by this tragedy.
