Tranquil TV, the organiser of the annual Ramadan Islamic radio programme, My Faith Islam, has announced plans for its 10th anniversary edition, scheduled to hold during the forthcoming Ramadan, while calling on individuals and organizations to support the initiative.
The programme, which has aired every Ramadan for the past decade, is designed to promote Islamic knowledge through a daily radio quiz that engages listeners on Qur’anic teachings, Hadith, and moral values.
To mark ten years of continuous Da’wah, the convener, Mrs Sakeenah Jatto-Oyewole, disclosed that this year’s edition will be expanded into a “Ramadan of Knowledge and Compassion.”
According to the announcement, the 10th anniversary edition will feature 30 days of Ramadan radio quiz programmes alongside food support for 20 downtrodden widows and orphans, with a projected budget of ₦3.1 million.
Speaking ahead of the programme, the convener, Mrs Sakeenah Jatto-Oyewole, who doubles as the radio programme main anchor, described the anniversary as an opportunity to deepen impact through both education and humanitarian service.
“Alhamdulillah, as we prepare for ten years of My Faith Islam, we are reminded that Da’wah is not only about teaching but also about touching lives. This anniversary edition is designed to combine knowledge with compassion, in line with the true spirit of Ramadan,” she said.
Explaining the motivation behind the call for donations, the convener emphasized that Ramadan is a season of collective responsibility.
“Ramadan teaches us to share, to uplift the vulnerable, and to support beneficial knowledge. We are therefore inviting well-meaning individuals to support any aspect of this initiative or contribute any amount Allah places in their hearts,” she stated.
She further noted that contributions toward the project are considered acts of charity, drawing reference from the Qur’anic verse in Surah Al-Baqarah (2:261), which assures that Allah multiplies the reward of those who spend in His cause.
Supporters and donors have been encouraged to partner with the programme as it prepares to observe its landmark 10th anniversary during the coming Ramadan, with prayers offered that Allah accepts and multiplies every contribution made toward the success of the initiative.
