Two of the three guests kidnapped two weeks ago at a wedding ceremony at Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State by gunmen have been freed.
The victims are Collins Alaefula, Mmadu
Promise and Victor Chibuike.
It was learnt that the two victims
reportedly paid ransoms before they were left off the hooks by their
kidnappers.
According to The Nation a family Source
said that his sibling, Promise and one other were released on Friday night by
their abductors.
The source, who identified himself as
Fortune, a brother to Promise, admitted that his brother has been released.
“Yes, my brother and one other have been
released. They were released on Friday night. It was actually a case of kidnap
not missing persons. I don’t know the name of the other person who was released
alongside my brother. I have not seen them but I am on my way to see them,” he
stressed.
The victims, who rode in a Lexus 330 gray
coloured vehicle were declared missing on August 28 after they left a wedding
ceremony in Isiala Mbano LGA to Owerri, their base.
After their whereabouts were not
ascertained, their families declared them missing and were said to have
reported the incident at the Police station in Owerri.
