The Executives of the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU) today paid a courtesy visit to the Management of Kwara State Polytechnic to rejoice with the Rector, Engr. Dr. Abdul Jimoh Mohammed, following his reinstatement by the Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, after a four-month suspension.
The delegation, led by the Ag. National President of the Union, Alhaji Abdulrauf Babatunde Issa, said the visit was aimed at thanking Almighty Allah for the successful return of one of the illustrious sons of the Emirate to office after the challenging period.
He noted that the union shared in the joy of the Rector, his family, and the entire Polytechnic community over the development, urging the Rector to remain steadfast, focused, and committed to the discharge of his responsibilities.
The Ag. National President further advised Engr. Abdul to maintain a forgiving spirit and avoid any form of revenge against individuals who may have played roles during the period of his suspension, noting that true leadership is demonstrated through patience, humility, and the ability to rise above challenges.
The delegation offered prayers for greater elevation, wisdom, good health, and a successful tenure for the Rector, expressing confidence in his ability to continue contributing meaningfully to the growth and development of Kwara State Polytechnic.
Responding, the Rector, Engr. Dr. Abdul Jimoh Mohammed, expressed profound appreciation to the leadership and members of the IEDPU for the visit and show of solidarity. He thanked Almighty Allah for preserving his life throughout the trying period, describing the experience as a test of faith, patience, and perseverance.
Engr. Abdul acknowledged the numerous challenges encountered during the four-month suspension but noted that divine grace and support from well-wishers sustained him.
He also praised Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for his unwavering belief in the principles of fairness and deep commitment to justice, which led to his reinstatement.
He promised that his administration would always remain steadfast in its commitment to supporting the state government's goals and initiatives.
