The Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CON, has announced the arrangements for the Janazah (funeral) prayers of the late Chief Imam of Ilorin Emirate, Dr. Muhammad Bashir Imam Solih, OON.
According to the announcement, the Janazah prayers will be held at the Palace Square of the Emir of Ilorin today, Monday, 19th January 2026, by 4:00pm.
The Emir has called on all sons, daughters, and friends of the Ilorin Emirate to gather at the palace to collectively pay their final respects to the revered Islamic scholar and spiritual leader, who dedicated his life to the service of Islam and the Ilorin Emirate.
Dr. Muhammad Bashir Imam Solih, OON, was widely respected for his deep knowledge, humility, and commitment to religious harmony and community development.
The Emirate prayed that Almighty Allah grants the late Chief Imam absolute forgiveness, accepts his righteous deeds, and admits him into Al-Jannatul Firdaus.
