The Kwara State Government has officially announced the appointment of His Royal Highness, Oba Shaaba Muftau Bayo, as the new Elesha of Oke-Ode in Ifelodun Local Government Area. The newly appointed monarch assumes the throne as a Second-Class Traditional Ruler, following the successful completion of all required selection and approval processes.
According to a public statement issued by the Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Community Development, Hon. Abdullahi Abubakar Bata, the approval was granted by the Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
The government expressed confidence that Oba Shaaba Muftau Bayo’s reign will promote peace, unity, and development within Oke-Ode and the larger Ifelodun Local Government Area.
The announcement marks a significant milestone for the community as it ushers in a new traditional leadership era under the newly confirmed Elesha.
