... Oke Ero APC Leaders Reaffirm Support for Gov. AbdulRazaq, President Tinubu
The Chairman of the Kwara State All Progressives Congress (APC), Prince Sunday Fagbemi, has warned that any party member working against the leadership structure will face disciplinary action.
Speaking during a party stakeholders' meeting on Thursday, April 10, 2025, in Ilofa, Oke Ero Local Government Area, Prince Fagbemi reaffirmed the party’s commitment to unity and order, stating that acts of indiscipline and illegality would not be tolerated.
He likened those attempting to cause disunity within the party to a "cancer that must be cut off," urging party members to remain steadfast and loyal to the leadership. He also expressed confidence in the APC’s strength in Oke Ero, emphasizing that the party remains the dominant force ahead of future elections.
Prince Fagbemi further passed a vote of confidence on the Oke Ero Local Government Chairman, Hon. James Abiodun Fadipe, and his councilors, encouraging party members to continue supporting their efforts in governance and development.
Addressing stakeholders at the meeting, Hon. James Abiodun Fadipe praised Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his transformative leadership, describing it as a new era of governance marked by vision, progress, and unity.
Fadipe also commended Mr. James Kayode Ojopagogo for his commitment to the growth of Oke Ero LGA, before listing his administration’s key achievements over the past six months. These include:
- Renovation of the Legislative Complex at the Local Government Secretariat
- Grading of feeder roads to improve connectivity across Oke Ero LGA
- Extension of HT & LT electricity to Imoji, Egosi, and Imode communities
- Repair of eight operational vehicles to enhance governance efficiency
- Installation of solar-powered boreholes in Odo Owa Ward 1, Erinmope, and Irepe (Iloffa)
- Deployment of solar-powered streetlights in Idofin Odo Ashe and Idofin Igbana
- Construction of royal palace fences in Ekan Township and Ayedun palaces
- Provision of operational tools for tractors to support farming operations
- Distribution of exercise books to pupils and students in SUBEB LGEA schools
- Supply of essential drugs to healthcare facilities
- Recognition with the Kwara South Primary Health Care Delivery Award, including a N2 million prize
- Installation of a 330KVA transformer at Kajola (Odo Owa 2)
- Welfare support for traditional rulers, the elderly, students, and people with special needs
- Financial assistance for government staff and other social interventions
Hon. Fadipe assured stakeholders that once the 2025 Annual Budget is approved, his administration would further prioritize security, healthcare, agriculture, education, empowerment, and infrastructure development.
Hon. Fadipe, who also serves as the APC leader in Oke Ero, called on opposition members to join the progressive movement under Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He urged party members causing internal divisions to return to the fold, emphasizing that the administration is committed to the greater good of Kwara State and Nigeria.
“It is crucial to recognize that no one loves Nigeria more than President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) and Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (CON). I urge all true stakeholders to rally behind these leaders as they work tirelessly to advance our nation,” he stated.
In his remarks, Hon. Bamigboye Joseph Olajire, who represents Oke Ero Constituency in the Kwara State House of Assembly, stressed the importance of teamwork. He encouraged party members to remain united, stating that collective effort is key to achieving long-term progress.
“Today’s stakeholders’ meeting is a reminder that together, we can accomplish anything. Let us remain united, keep working hand in hand, and continue building a constituency we can all be proud of,” he said.
Dr. Mary Arinde, the Commissioner for Planning and Economic Development in Kwara State, praised Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s leadership style, noting that it has consistently delivered the dividends of democracy to the people and party members in Oke-Ero Local Government Area.
In his remarks, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Social and Political Mobilization, Hon. Ajayi Femi Peter (Arekujaye), highlighted the strong presence of key APC stakeholders at the meeting. He noted that only the so-called "send-forth members," who have been acting against the government, were absent.
Hon. Ajayi dismissed their claims that the council chairman failed to carry them along, stating that such allegations were baseless. He emphasized that this was the fourth stakeholders' meeting held in the year, reinforcing the administration's commitment to inclusivity and transparency.
