The Kwara State Police Command has announced the assumption of duty by CP Adekimi Ojo as the 44th Commissioner of Police for the state.
In a statement issued on March 28, 2025, by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, the Command highlighted CP Ojo’s three-decade-long experience in law enforcement, crime prevention, intelligence-led policing, and strategic security management.
His leadership is expected to bolster public safety and strengthen community relations in the state.
Before his appointment, CP Ojo served as Deputy Commissioner of Police (Operations) in Kwara State, where he played a pivotal role in crime-fighting and security coordination.
In his address as the new CP, he now reassures residents of his unwavering commitment to maintaining law and order, urging them to collaborate with the police by providing credible intelligence to aid security operations.
As Muslim faithful in Kwara and across Nigeria celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, CP Ojo extended his warm wishes, encouraging citizens to use the occasion to foster peace, unity, and mutual understanding.
He also assured the public that adequate security measures are in place before, during, and after the festivities to ensure a safe and peaceful celebration.
