History will be made in Kwara State today as Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, will commission two flyovers constructed by the administration of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on the same day.
Named in honour of the Emir of Ilorin, Dr Ibrahim Kolapo Sulu-Gambari CFR and the late Gen. Tunde Idiagbon, the two flyovers, which are constructed at strategic areas within Ilorin, the capital of Kwara, will ease the free-flow of traffic significantly and the economy of the state.
The First Lady touched down in Ilorin yesterday on a three-day visit. She headed to Kwara State University of Education, where she inaugurated the ICT Community Centre, built by the NITDA in collaboration with the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), her foundation. Senator Oluremi also commissioned an ultra-modern Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Dr. Amuda Aluko Ward constructed by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
Aside from the two flyovers the First Lady will commission during this period, she will also be taken on a tour of a few other iconic projects of Governor AbdulRazaq-led administration, such as the Innovation Hub, Visual Arts Centre, Sugar Factory Film Studio and the Garment Factory.
