In a significant event on Thursday, October 24, 2024, the Kwara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) decorated 416 newly promoted officers at the State Command Headquarters in Ilorin.
The Commandant of the Kwara State Command, Dr. Umar J.G. Mohammed, urged the promoted officers to embrace their new ranks with a renewed sense of duty and heightened accountability.
Among those promoted were 21 Deputy Commandants of Corps, 10 Assistant Commandants of Corps, 13 Chief Superintendents of Corps, 48 Superintendents of Corps, 129 Deputy Superintendents of Corps, 127 Assistant Superintendents of Corps I, and 68 Assistant Superintendents of Corps II.
During the ceremony, Commandant Umar expressed his gratitude to the Honourable Minister of Interior, Hon. Tunji Ojo, and the Commandant General, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, for recognizing the officers' hard work and dedication by approving the promotions.
He congratulated the officers, urging them to redouble their efforts in actualizing the Corps' mandate.
Speaking on behalf of the newly promoted officers, DCC Augustine Eramhaenze attributed their promotion to divine favor and pledged that they would perform their duties with diligence and dedication.
The ceremony highlighted the commitment of the NSCDC to enhance its workforce and uphold security across the state.
