Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Hon. Aliyu Bahago Ahman-Pategi, a former member of the House of Representatives.
The former congressman passed away at the National Hospital in Abuja, where the Governor joined his family in mourning.
In a statement released by the Governor's Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, Governor Abdulrazaq extended his heartfelt condolences to the Etsu Patigi, His Royal Highness Alhaji Ibrahim Umar Bologi II, the people of Patigi Local Government Area, and the entire Ahman-Pategi family.
Governor Abdulrazaq praised Hon. Ahman-Pategi for his legacy of service and contributions to society, highlighting his impactful investments and initiatives, including the establishment of Ahman Pategi University (APU).
The Governor noted that Hon. Bahago would be remembered for his dedication to improving the lives of many people through his work as a congressman and a community leader.
"We are deeply saddened by the loss of the Galadiman Patigi, but we submit to the will of Allaah. We pray for Allaah's forgiveness for Hon. Aliyu Bahago, that he be admitted to al-Jannah Firdaus, and that his family finds the strength to bear this difficult loss," the Governor said.
The Governor's tribute reflects the significant impact Hon. Ahman-Pategi had on his community and the state at large.
