The Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has joined the people of Ile Ire District, particularly Owa Kajola community in Ifelodun Local Government, to mourn the sad death of the President of Omo Ibile Ile-Ire, Dr John Funso Oyedele.
Dr Oyedele, a retired university teacher and a leader of ECWA, died on Tuesday afternoon after a brief illness.
The Governor, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, today described the late teacher as a fine gentleman who left a legacy of excellent community relations, love for all, and support for growth and collective security.
"He was an honest and empathetic man with whom many people found succour at all times", according to the Governor.
The Governor asked his family and the Ile-Ire community to take solace in his sweet memories as a leader who championed good causes and diligently played his roles for the community.
AbdulRazaq also asked God Almighty to repose the soul of Dr. Oyedele and console everyone who mourns him.
