The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Kwara State command has announced that the command is yet to commence the sale of 25Kg bag of rice to members of the public in the state.
The Public Relations Officer of the state command, Chado Zakari made this known to newsmen at the weekend.
The Customs Service in Abuja had announced that its offices nationwide would begin the sale of the seized grains including rice to members of the public at a subsidized rate to mitigate the economic hardship being faced by Nigerians.
Zakari said that the members of the public will be adequately informed when the command receives the directive and every strata of the society will be carried along to ensure that residents of the state will benefit from the Federal government gesture.
The PRO therefore urged the general public not to put unnecessary pressures on the operatives of the Command on the sale of the rice as they will be duly communicated when they commence the process in line with the directives and guidelines of the headquarters.
