The Kwara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has confirmed the arrest of a robbery suspect identified as Olanrewaju Bolanle, aka, (Malu) in Ilorin, the state capital.
According to the spokesman of the NSCDC, Ayeni Olasunkanmi, in a statement in Ilorin on Thursday, “a distress call from one Babatunde Imam of no 2 Gaa-Saka area, Ilorin, reported that his house was raided by some some suspects; Olanrewaju Bolanle (29) aka (Malu) and one Azeez aka Olongbo who is currently at large on the 12th of December.
“The Command launched a manhunt after the suspects and Olanrewaju was eventually arrested on the 13th of December 2022, at about 9am in Oloje area of Ilorin metropolis.
One of the alleged stolen items, a Plasma TV, was recovered from Olanrewaju Bolanle and further investigation led to the discovery of more incriminating items at Azeez aka Olongbo’s house.
The items recovered according to the spokesman, included seven live Armour, one toy gun three cutlasses, four Android phones and 200 parcels of Indian hemp, (marijuana).
The Command appealed to the public or whoever has useful information on the location of Azeez (Olongbo) who resides in Oloje area to endeavor to share same with the Command.
