As stakeholders continue to unite and work for peaceful coexistence in Kwara State, the National Orientation Agency (NOA) and the Nigeria Police in Kwara State have resolved to strengthen the existing synergy in both organizations.
This was disclosed on Tuesday when the NOA State Director, Mr Olusegun Adeyemi led members of his Management team to pay a courtesy call on the new Commissioner of Police in Kwara, CP Paul Odama in his office.
Adeyemi explained that the visit was to fashion out more pragmatic means of collaboration between NOA and NPF as the nation gears up to the elections in 2023.
The NOA Director intimated the CP on the strategies NOA is engaging to reach out to the electorate in Kwara especially how the Agency has been at the forefront of the campaign for peace even to the grassroots level, as well as its voter education efforts.
Mr Adeyemi also used the occasion to commend the widely travelled and articulate CP for his proactive measures to rid the state of criminals and ensure that the people and residents of Kwara can sleep with their two eyes closed.
In his words, "peace must be pursued by all means and NOA in Kwara, will continue to assist the police in ensuring that peace reigns in our communities beyond the 2023 general elections.
CP Odama acknowledged the vital role Kwara NOA has been playing in its civic intelligence gathering, prompt and reliable report of incidences, and sensitization of Kwarans on their roles towards the peaceful conduct of the 2023 elections.
The Police helmsman promised his Command’s readiness to further synergize with NOA to maintain peace among residents of Kwara before, during and after the forth-coming general elections.
The Commissioner, who received souvenirs from the NOA Director, also used the medium to advice stakeholders to guard against violence, cultism and every form of crisis as the NPF is ever ready and set to rid Kwara of criminal elements peace in the interest of all.
