The Kwara State Fire Service has doused an intense Fire outbreak at No 3 Temidere street upper Gaa-akanbi area of Ilorin, in Ilorin South local Government of Kwara state.
The Spokesperson of the Kwara state Fire Service, Hassan Adekunle made this known in a statement today.
He said, "The Fire outbreak which was reported today, Sunday 23rd October 2022, at about 17:18hours, was subdued by the firepower of the Fire Crews which did not allow it spread beyond the seat of Fire.
The leading officer of crew who attended the incident announced that they arrived promptly at the scene and they were able to limit the damage caused by the ravaging fire to a room".
The officer added that the cause of the fire incident was due to power surge.
Therefore, the Director, Kwara State Fire, Prince Falade John Olumuyiwa urged citizens of Kwara to be more safety conscious and warned them never to leave any of their electrical devices plug in if they were not at homes or offices..
