Prince Lekan Adewoye, an aspirant for the Kwara South Senatorial seat on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), has vowed to work with constituents to deliver tangible development across the district, declaring, “Together we shall make Kwara South better.”
Adewoye made the declaration on Saturday at Ajase-Ipo while formally announcing his intention to contest the Senate seat in the 2027 general elections.
Addressing party leaders, supporters, and community stakeholders, the aspirant said Kwara South could no longer settle for “potential without progress.”
Adewoye who vowed to change the narrative when elected to represent the people stressed that the zone can no longer afford “potential without progress”. He said his ambition is rooted in the daily struggles of ordinary people across Kwara South.
“It is about the farmers who labour without support. It is about the youth who have energy but no opportunity. It is about the mothers who worry about their children’s future,” he told a crowd of supporters and party leaders.
“It is about communities still waiting for roads, for light, and for security. My people, enough is enough. We cannot continue to have potential without progress. We cannot continue to have representation without results. We cannot continue to wait while others move forward.”
While harping on his belief that Kwara South deserves “better”, Prince Lekan Adewoye called for collective action to change the district’s fortunes.
“What do we desire? Better. And together we will define this. Together we will do this. And together we will achieve it,” he said.
