The Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has declared Monday, October 6, 2025, a public holiday for teachers in the state to commemorate World Teachers’ Day.
In a statement, the Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Dr. Lawal Olohungbebe, commended teachers for their dedication, resilience, and sacrifices.
Dr. Olohungbebe who described teachers as vital stakeholders in human progress and national development, highlighed their central role in shaping the nation’s future.
He lauded teachers in Kwara State for their tireless efforts in nurturing young minds and contributing to societal growth.
The Commissioner, on behalf of the State Governor expressed appreciation for the hard work and commitment of teachers, acknowledging their embodiment of patience, sacrifice, and resilience.
