The Provost of the College of Nursing Sciences, Oke-Ode (KWCONOO), in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, Alhaji Olanrewaju AbdulQaudri; staff and students of the College have commiserated with the family of the deceased, the Muslim community, and the people of Oke-Ode over the passing of the Chief Imam of Oke-Ode, Alhaji Murtadho Abdulquadri Ore.
The revered cleric passed away on Monday night in Ilorin after a brief illness and was laid to rest on Tuesday in Oke-Ode, in accordance with Islamic rites, in the presence of family, friends, and well-wishers.
In a condolence message issued on Wednesday through the Institution’s Chief Press Secretary, AbdulHafeez Oyewole, the Provost described the death of the Chief Imam as a painful and irreparable loss not only to the Muslim Ummah and the good people of Oke-Ode but also to the College community and countless others who benefitted from his kindness, generosity, and spiritual guidance.
Alhaji AbdulQaudri lauded the late scholar, who until his passing was the Principal of FOMWAN Schools, Oke-Ode, for his unwavering dedication to community service, selfless leadership, and guidance that positively impacted many lives.
According to him, “Alhaji Ore’s immense contributions to fostering peace, unity, and spiritual growth in Oke-Ode and beyond will not be forgotten. His legacy will remain indelible in the sands of time.”
The Provost also extended condolences to the Ulamas in Ifelodun Local Government Area, and the entire Oke-Ode community, urging them to take solace in the exemplary and impactful life the late Chief Imam lived.
He prayed Almighty Allah to forgive the cleric’s shortcomings, grant him eternal rest in Al-Janah Firdaus, and give his family, the Muslim Ummah, and the people of Oke-Ode the fortitude to bear the great loss.
