The Kwara State Government will partially close the Post Office to Challenge axis of the Muritala Mohammed Way from Sunday, June 15, 2025, to allow for asphalt work as part of ongoing road upgrade on the road.
Hon. Commissioner for Works, Engr. Abdulquawiy Olododo, stated that although the road remains accessible, traffic diversions will be in place. Motorists should expect delays and are urged to drive cautiously, remain patient, and follow directions from traffic officials.
“We regret any inconvenience this may cause and thank the public for their understanding,” said Engr. Olododo in a statement made available to Factual Naija News.
“This project is vital to boosting the road’s economic utility and enhancing connectivity, in line with Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s urban renewal vision. We’re committed to completing it swiftly and efficiently.”
The government assures the public that disruptions will be minimal and safety will remain a priority.
Motorists are advised to follow traffic instructions and plan their routes accordingly.
