As part of efforts to ensure a safe and peaceful Easter celebration, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kwara State Command, has deployed 2,680 personnel across the state to safeguard lives and property before, during, and after the festivities.
The State Commandant, Dr. Umar J.G. Mohammed, revealed that the Command has put in place robust security arrangements to prevent any breach of peace throughout the period.
He also noted that personnel have been strategically stationed at churches, recreational centers, critical infrastructure, and other public locations to provide effective security coverage.
Dr. Umar further disclosed that surveillance and patrol operations have been intensified in both urban and rural areas, with tactical teams and rapid response units on standby to promptly address any emerging threats.
He urged residents to remain vigilant, law-abiding, and to support security agencies by promptly reporting any suspicious activities within their surroundings.
While extending warm Easter greetings to Christians across the state, the Commandant called on all citizens to uphold the values of love, sacrifice, and peaceful coexistence that the season represents.
