The Kwara State Police Command has announced that the local government elections held on September 21, 2024, were conducted peacefully with no security breaches reported across the state.
In a press release issued on September 22, 2024, signed by DSP Toun Ejire-Adeyemi, Police Public Relations Officer, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, the command stated that its collaborative efforts with other security agencies ensured a smooth and uninterrupted voting experience.
The statement said, "The police command, led by Commissioner CP Victor Olaiya, strategically deployed law enforcement personnel to polling units and key locations, maintaining order throughout the process.
