The Zanako Etsu Patigi and Chief Executive Officer of HAM Foundation, Alhaji Adamu Attahiru Abdulkadir Nmanko, has expressed sadness over the death of a retired judge of the Court of Appeal, Justice Ahmad Olanrewaju Belgore, whose transition was announced late Tuesday 9th April, 2024.
In a condolence message made available to Journalists in Ilorin, Nmanko said Kwara State had lost a quintessential legal luminary, who rendered forthright, unblemished, and meritorious service to the state and country.
Zanako Etsu Patigi noted that the late jurist epitomised the finest form of judicial integrity and that his death was a sad chapter for not only his family but also the Kwara judiciary, the legal profession, and indeed the state and the country.
He said late Justice Belgore was "one of our finest jurists, a legal icon and our pride in Kwara State".
He said that both HAM Foundation and Nmanko's family are deeply saddened and heartbroken by the loss of the jurist.
While commiserating with his family and the judiciary, Zanako Etsu Patigi described late Justice Belgore as a courageous judge, who dispensed justice with fairness and fear of God.
He prayed Allah to grant him Al-janat firdaus and grant his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
