The Chairman Senate Committee on Agricultural Production and Rural Development in the National Assembly, Senator Saliu Mustapha has expressed shock over the demise of the former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. AbdulYekeen Sidiq Alajagusi who passed away on Tuesday morning.
In a condolence message issued from his media office in Ilorin, the Kwara Central Senator described the death of Alajagusi who represented Asa/ Ilorin West Federal Constituency in the Green chamber between 2019 and 2023 as a colossal loss to the All Progressives Congress political family, his immediate family, the people of Kwara Central and Kwara State at large.
Mustapha who is the Turaki of ilorin identified the roles played by the late politician during the Otoge struggle, saying that late Alajagunsi contributed immensely to the struggle that birthed the APC-led dispensation.
While sympathizing with both the immediate and political families of the deceased, the Senator prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant him aljanat fridaus.
Similarly, the Turaki of Ilorin has sympathised with the family of a former member of the Federal House of Representatives, Engr. Yunusa Yahaya who died early hours of Wednesday.
Mustapha in a condolence message, described the dearth of Eng Yahaya popularly known as ‘Bulldozer’ as a colossal loss to the people of Kwara North, and Kwara state at large.
He noted that late Engr. Yahaya who represented Edu/Patigi/Moro federal constituency was a great and prominent politician who contributed to the growth of his people and community during his lifetime and prayed Allah to forgive his misdeeds and grant him aljanat fridaus.
In the same vein, the Senator representing Kwara Central in the National Assembly also expressed sadness over the death of the Alangua Oke-Ogun, a retired customs officer, Alhaji AbdulKadir Muhammed Laro.
Mustapha in a condolence message issued from his media office to journalists in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital, said he was deeply saddened by the death of the traditional title holder.
“I received the news of the passing of Alhaji AbdulKadri Muhammed Laro with a rude shock. It’s a major loss to the people of Oke Ogun and Ilorin Emirate. He was a kind hearted and a good man who loved his people very deeply and dearly”, he said
The Turaki of Ilorin offered his profound condolences to the family of Alhaji Laro, the people of Oke Ogun, the Association of Magajis and Alanguas of Ilorin Emirate , the Emir of Ilorin, HRH Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, CFR over the unfortunate incident.
Mustapha prayed Allah to forgive late Alhaji AbdulKadri Muhammad Laro’s earthly infractions and grant him Al-janat fridaus.
