The member representing Ekiti, Isin, Irepodun and Oke-Ero Federal Constituency of Kwara, Rt. Hon.Tunji Olawuyi (Ajuloopin), has expressed sadness over the passing of His Grace, the Baba Aladura of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church (CSMC), worldwide, The Most Revd (Dr) Prophet Samuel Adefila Abidoye.
The Lawmaker in a statement on Monday in Omu-Aran by his Senior Special Assistant (SSA) Media and Strategic Communications, Olayinka Owolewa, described his death as a rude shock to him.
"This is indeed a moment of huge sadness and reflection for the Christian community, as we mourn the loss of a revered and extraordinary leader."The Most Revd (Dr) Prophet Samuel Adefila Abidoye was a towering figure in the Christian faith, and his exemplary life of service and dedication to the advancement of the gospel is an inspiration to us all" Olawuyi said.
He said Baba Aladura played a vital role in uniting and guiding the faithful, offering spiritual solace to countless individuals, and leading by example in his commitment to promoting peace, love, and compassion within our society.
"I extend our deepest condolences to the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church (CSMC) and its members who have lost a true shepherd and father.
"My thoughts and prayers are also with the family and loved ones of His Grace, as they navigate through this difficult period of bereavement" Olawuyi said.
"His unwavering faith, strong leadership, and incredible humility have left an indelible mark on the Christian community, paving the way for future generations to follow.
"As we mourn the loss of this remarkable spiritual leader, let us draw strength from His Grace's enduring teachings, and strive to emulate his unwavering commitment to God and humanity.
"Through our collective efforts, we can honor his memory by upholding the values he held dear. I pray His Grace's soul find eternal rest in the bosom of the Lord" He said.
The Chairman House Commitee on Humanitarian Afairs, IDPs, Migrants and Refugees, asked Baba's loved ones to find solace in the outpouring of love and support from the Christian community during this time of grief.
The Lawmaker also commiserated with Olomu of Omu-Aran, Oba Abdulraheem Oladele Adeoti, the Olomu-in-Council and the Omu-Aran Development Association (ODA) over our father's death.
