Kwara United finally got their league season campaign off on victorious note on Sunday after defeating Abia Warriors by a lone goal at Kwara State Stadium, Ilorin.
A goal on 44 the minute of the game decided the final outcome of the tense match, where the home team, Kwara United, was under much of pressure, needing to win the game to please home fans after slumping to a defeat away to Katsina United, last week.
A goal by Ejeh Isaiah at the 44th minutes lput the home team ahead in the contest which also saw very anxious moments in the goal mouth of both sides.
Abia Warriors coach stated that his team lost concentration but stated that he would work on lapses of his team ahead of his next game.
He also attributed his loss to fatigue after the team journeyed for two days from Abia on account of bad roads.
"Bad roads will kill our league. I think it's time we have an arrangemrnt with airlines," he said.
He however saluted the technical bench of Kwara United.
"Coach Kabir Dogo has really done so well for his team considering that he built the team from the scratch this season."
Speaking on the out come, Coach Kabir Dogo, technical adviser, Kwara United, admitted that his team was under pressure giving doggedness of the hard fighting Abia Warriors.
