The Kwara State Fire Service today saved property worth 68.5 million naira in a fire disaster at a 4 bedroom apartment in Ilorin.
FACTUAL NAIJA NEWS gathered that the incident occured at No 138D Temidere Irewolede community Ilorin, Ilorin West Local Government of Kwara State.
A statement by Kwara Fire Service's Spokesperson, Hassan Hakeem Adekunle noted that the Fire outbreak, which was reported at about 09:52 am, was subdued by the firepower of the Fire Crews which did not allow it spread beyond the seat of Fire.
"The Firefighting operations concluded at 10:13hours, out of the 4bedrooms flat in the building only one bedroom affected by burning fire.
"There was however no record of casualty of any sought while the cause of the fire was attributed to power surge," Adekunle said.
The spokesperson also explained that total estimated property lost is 3.4 million naira.
Meanwhile, the Director, Kwara State Fire Service, Prince Falade John Olumuyiwa urged general public to always play safe especially during this period and not to hesitate to call fire brigade on time whenever there is any emergency in their areas, as this would save lives and properties of people in the state..
