The instant communication app owned by Meta, WhatsApp is gradually being restored after outage across the world.
According to new reports trooping in from a cross section of users from Nigeria, who spoke to FACTUAL NAIJA NEWS, the service is now available as they now able to send or receive messages on the app.
FACTUAL NAIJA NEWS had reported that WhatsApp outage was noted few minutes past 8:00 Tuesday morning (WAT).
The outage, which had prevented sending messages to groups, while personal messages display only one tick, an indication that they are sent but not delivered, has also changed as group messages according to users are not entering.
It would be recalled that DownDetector, an online platform that provides users with real-time information about the status of various websites and services, said it had received over 80,000 complaints about the outage within an hour.
FACTUAL NAIJA NEWS gathered that users from many countries across the world, including United Kingdom, Nigeria and India were affected by the abrupt outage.
