A former governor of Ekiti state, Chief Segun Oni, has left the opposition PDP after failing to clinch party's governorship ticket for the June 18 poll.
Oni who participated in the PDP guber primary lost to Bisi Kolawole, a former chairman of the PDP in Ekiti state who was backed by former Governor Ayo Fayose.
There are speculations that the Oni may join the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) to contest for the governorship seat.
It was reported that the director of media and publicity of Segun Oni Movement, Adebayo Jackson, confirmed the development in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti state capital on Saturday, February 5.
Recall that Oni came second in the just-concluded governorship primaries of the opposition PDP ahead of the June 18 governorship poll in Ekiti state.
